Check out our totally awesome programs!

Student Government leads campus-wide initiatives that promote school spirt and unity. It is our mission to provide students with leadership opportunities that will allow them to further enhance their Sycamore Pride.

The Forest

The Forest is Indiana State University’s newest student section for Sycamore athletic events.  The Forest is for passionate, energetic Sycamore fans.  The Forest has the best seats at athletic events as well as a rewards system for members who are the most involved during the year.  The Forest has a one-time membership fee of $15 and this fee includes an official Forest T-shirt & membership card.

Sycamore Leadership Coalition

The Sycamore Leadership Coalition is the freshman leadership program sponsored by Student Government. Members of the SLC are the top incoming freshmen with the goal of getting them involved in SGA and the university.  It is completely student-run and will allow those involved to create and run events that interest them while benefiting the ISU community.  The experience that students get their first year will allow them to be more successful in their college career and other student organizations that they want to be involved in.

Study Week Policy

Study Week is intended to encourage student preparation for final examinations given during the final examination week. Class attendance, however, is still expected. No examination of any kind, including quizzes that count for over four percent of the grade, can be given during Study Week. Papers due during Study Week must be specified in the class syllabus handed out to students at the beginning of each semester. Examinations for laboratory; intensive, mini-courses; or summer sessions are permitted.
The student is responsible for notifying the Student Government Association of a violation of any of the above terms. The Student Government Association will take the correct procedures for informing the faculty member and the academic department chairperson of the failure to comply with the terms of the Study Week policy. The student's name will be confidential to the Student Government Association.
